Bret is gone on a business trip. I can't wait till I go on a "business trip" one day, it sounds so sassy. However, I'm sure it probably really isn't that exciting to sit in meetings all day, regardless of where it is.
So when I was younger and my family would leave the house, I'd try on all of the prom dresses that were laying around the house (it was an all-girl family, which meant lots of girly stuff). It's not that I was embarrassed, but there is something about wearing a prom dress and dancing around the family room by yourself. I completely forgot that I used to do that, until tonight when i had tried on 10 of bret's shirts and danced around the house. Other things on the agenda for the bret free weekend... eat pasta roni, make bread, paint my nails, brunch with an old friend, and abc family movies. It's a good thing I didn't go on a business trip this weekend, I have a lot of business to take care of here.
mem day 08
Exactly a year ago today bret and I made the most bomb.com decision of our lives, we decided to get married. On mem. day 2007 we went on a hike and bret pulled out a magical piece of red string and matching t-shirts and I knew he was the one. We decided to commemerate the big day by going on a hike, you know, since we're granola. It was a place called "rock city" and you climb up huge rocks without any gear and it's crazy fun. We also celebrated by eating half our body weight in breakfast foods at Rudy's Never Fail Diner.

I'll post a few more pics when the internet is being more cooperative

Surprise!
Sometimes Bret and I get to go get sodies together at lunch. Sometimes Bret finds a surprise at the bottom of his cup when he's almost done drinking. This past Thursday it happened to be a screw from an unidentifiable source. Surprise!
I'd like to thank the government
for giving me the means for this...

I'm thinking that by 2054 bret and I will only own matching jogging suits.

50/50 is the one for me

50/50 T shirts. The perfect combination of cotton and polyester. Half softness, half thin stretchiness. I would go as far to say that this is the best combination of anything since pepperoni and cheese on pizza. That means it rivals such combinations as aspartame and cherry coke, graham crackers and frosting, and even Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer. 50/50 means the best of 2 personalities at once. Flowing yet fitted. Soft yet slim. Visible yet not there. Familiar yet new. 50/50, you're the one for me.
Love and Soda
Last year at this time I graduated college and had to say goodbye to two of my favorite people in Provo, justin and megan, the chevron workers. At the chevron across the street from the dorms, liquid magic flows from the soda fountain, and I partook everyday. Instead of my picture with the cougar, I wanted it with the people I saw day in and day out for almost 4 years.

I didn't start drinking diet soda, well any soda, until I was 19 and then I fell for it, fell hard. When Bret and I moved to Alameda we scoped out all of the gas stations and to our dismay we only found 3 that had diet soda. It's been a little rough, but we've managed. We bought these 32oz. mugs that we could refill to save money (you know the recession and all) but we weren't sure if it was cheaper to refill our mugs or just get cups and use a stamp card because it was buy four get one free. Well, we weren't sure until one day I got this in my inbox...

I'm glad I have him around to figure out such complex situations in my life.

Well
I think if I took more pictures I'd be inclined to blog more, but since I don't here's some examples of things I would blog about if I had pictures of them....
1. A picture of Hailey, my neice, in my bathtub with all of my rarely used kitchen utensils because, shockingly to hailey, I don't currently own any bath toys
2. A pic of Bret coming home from his victorious softball game last night in a teenie, tiny jazz sweatshirt and his "lucky cap" which also happens to be three times the size of his head.
3. A picture of the eclair I was eating at 7:30 am, thus causing be to be late for work
4. A picture of my surprised face when I was asleep on the floor behind a teachers desk during PE time and the principle walked in
5. All of the beautiful cards, meals, and flowers I have recieved in the past two weeks. Thank you, they mean a lot to me.

I'll Take It
The past two weeks have been jam packed with some really, really great things, and some not so great things. I won't go into too much detail but let's just say the bad things included a car insurance company, the FBI denying my finger prints, and a phone call to 911, all these things separate from each other. Luckily, we have had rockin weather, and no matter what happens I can't complain when we can go to the beach in mid-april and get sunburns
