It kind of looks like we're on the moon in this picture. Except it's daytime and we're not in moonsuits. and this is what a dead seal would look like on the moon. Sad and gross and kind of amazing that a seal made it to the moon.
That decaying moon seal is nasty! For a second, I thought you guys had found another Montauk monster (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montauk_Monster)

where was that? The sierras on your girls camp trip?
hahah that'd be equally amazing if the seal made it to the Sierras. No, it was in Monterey.
I thought maybe it was a mountain seal. Don't sit so close to the edge next time.
